By definition 'Adventure' is an unusual, exciting, possibly dangerous activity, trip or experience or the excitement produced by such experiences.
This project is a series of artworks about exploring the idea of ' Adventure ' through different contexts.
Like the saying goes ' Life is an adventure ~ Anonymous' or
As Patti Smith puts it ' Life is like a roller-coaster. It's never going to be perfect, it is going to have perfect moments, and then rough spots, but it's all worth it.'
' So sit back , buckle up and enjoy the ride.'
In the metaphorical sense, we are the captains of our ship on this adventure of life, but unless the anchor is let loose, the ship stays on shore. So loosen that anchor, set sail
' Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to loose sight of the shore ~ Andre Gide'.
Who ever said Adventure is only about engaging in daring activities. Exploring places, learning about new cultures, lifestyles, is a whole different experience that has it's own charm.
As Dr. Seuss puts forth in
'Oh, the Places you'll go'
'You'll be on your way up!
You'll be seeing great sights!
You'll join the high fliers
who soar to high heights.'
So go ahead, remember to explore!
' All good things are wild and free ' as Henry David Thoreau puts it, going on a safari is another form of adventure that one must experience atleast once.
